Opis projektu
To increase the performance of the route Hamburg – Lübeck – Travemünde, it was electrified.
On a route length of 85 km, the main tracks are spanned with an overhead contact line system in the standard design Re 200, and the side tracks with an overhead line in the design Re 100.
As the existing clearance gauge was not sufficient for the electrification, the tracks under 13 existing bridges and crossroad structures were lowered, and 4 road bridges were rebuilt.
In the course of the electrification, extensive adjustment works had to be carried out on signalling and telecommunications systems, to retrofit the contact protection on the existing bridges, and install the earthing on the existing structures.
In Lübeck-Genin, a new converter, with an output of 2 x 15 megawatts, was built to supply the overhead contact line system.
